Meet Bridgette M. Morgan

What can I say I come from very humble beginnings. Born and raised as the second child of seven in the Mississippi Delta, I’ve been a Jackson Mississippi resident and taxpayer since I was 17 years old. My first job here was a grocery store on I -55 before it became a car dealership. I would end my shift there and begin a new shift next door at Stein Mart to care for myself and to create a savings fund before beginning college. At this point I have lived in Hinds County for majority of my life. 

One of my greatest career accomplishments while serving as the Attorney for the Jackson Police Department is the implementation of the body camera for all officers. I created the policy that was ultimately approved by the Department of Justice.

Now having practiced law for more than ten years I see a need for truly fair and impartial Judges. Judges who allow Attorneys to truly advocate for their client, no matter what side he/she is on, without fear of harsh rulings and grave disadvantages. Judge Larita Cooper -Stokes embodied that. I believe her rulings were truly based on law and facts and not politics. I would be most honored to continue carrying her torch. This is why my campaign slogan is: JUDGES MATTER.
